Hello neighbors!

This month, 7/14, the kids of Dickeyville hosted a lemonade stand to raise funds for immigrant families at the border. Donations went to a coalition of organizations helping with legal services and other forms of aid, including The Florence Project, ACLU, Kids in Need of Defense, We Belong Together, Raices, and The Women’s Refugee Commission.

Residents were asked to stop by the churchyard from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 pm for lemonade, a yummy treat, or to make a postcard to send to an immigrant kid being detained without their parents at the border.

Last year these cuties raised almost $200! This year, the Dickeyville kids raised $418 for families at the border! A donation will be made to a coalition of organizations helping with legal and humanitarian aid:  https://secure.actblue.com/donate/kidsattheborder

Thank you, generous neighbors!
