Essense of community spreads beyond village boundaries…

Most of us in Dickeyville have arrived from somewhere else.  Many from elsewhere in Baltimore or greater Maryland, others from out-of-state and several from lands abroad.  The geographical and cultural diversity is one of many elements that, conversely, creates our sense of unity.

Howard County’s Columbia shares a special connection with Dickeyville, with multiple villagers having lived or worked in the innovatively-designed community, located 25 minutes south along Highway 29.

Family and friends of life-long actors and Dickeyvillians, Joan and Sam McCready, were present for yesterday’s Shakespeare in the Park performance. Below is a wonderful post from Julia McCready featured on the Columbia blog, Village Green/Town².
