Joan and Sam McCready 2016

Many of our Maryland friends ask when they can see Joan McCready and I perform. Here’s an opportunity. As part of Dickeyville 4th July celebrations, to mark the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare, the pair of us will present a program of sonnets and scenes from his plays: ‘Macbeth’, ‘As You Like It’ and ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’.  

The program will also feature performances from our Dickeyville neighbors, Mike Blair and Linda Melton along with period music from the Cymans and the McMillens.

Bring a blanket, a lawn chair, your cooler and some goodies for a picnic by the Gwynn’s Falls.

• Venue: Beside the dam in Dickeyville — what a setting for Shakespeare’s luscious verse!
